Well Hello Everyone,

Life sure has a way of getting away from you at times.  I had hoped to put out a monthly newsletter and now it is six months later....hmm where does the time go?

We have been very very busy releasing our new product line.  You will find bunches of swings and some really nice cage accessories in the store. I am working towards designing and producing more of the larger birds toys as I seem to have a limited selection in this area.  As soon as the new product line is totally released I will be working on the toy parts section which has been greatly overlooked.  I have some awesome new bird toy parts that I have been saving for the store and can hardly wait to see how you will use them.  Keep sending in those pictures please I LOVE seeing how you use our products. I will only post them if I have your permission.

Well just when you think you have everything all settled life throws you a curve.  Little Wing Aviary and Little Wing Creations will be moving.   This move is happening within the next 4 months and comes with great joy and sorrow.  Joy to be closer in distance to family and sorrow as I have to greatly downsize my aviary. I am heartbroken that I cannot take them all with me...not even the majority of them. I will be listing lots of my pair shortly unless I can come up with another solution.

TONS OF FUN

This is a great toy! Jam packed full of chunky wood pieces to nibble on and a HUGE amount of 100% cotton rope your bird will surely fall in love with this one. It is one of my best sellers for the larger beaked birds and comes in an array of vibrant colors.

  I have placed knots between the chunky wood pieces for added durability and some extra fun!

SNACK STACK

Snack Stack was created to solve a problem I was having in my aviary.  My cuttlebones were always being thrown away as they were being soiled on.  I tried other holders and clips but to no avail, my breeder birds would also consume them faster than I could get them hung, so I created this item.

Its a toy and a cuttlebone holder.  We all understand the need for cuttlebone in our birds diet so this seems to accomplish that and provide stimulating fun as well. I can also just set it and forget it.  When the cuttlebones are gone it is simply a toy or can be wrapped to create a spray millet holder.

Made with cuttlebones, various plastic beads and rawhide lace strung from bird safe wire and finished off with a small snap hanger.

BLAST OFF

Now this is a really nice rope bird toy. Blast off......it's a blast!  It is made for the medium to large beaked set of birds.  Filled with lots of chewable hardwood and softwood pieces and over five feet of cotton rope to chew on, there is plenty to play with here!

The rope has been knotted in between the wooden pieces for added durability.  At the base of the toy are many tantalizing plastic beads and links to spark your birds interest.  

A WORD OF WARNING HERE: This toy includes some round links at the bottom which can be moved up and down for some added fun.  Please be sure your bird cannot break these and choke on them. If you feel your bird can break these links they can be snipped off the toy before giving it to your bird.

Here is a great little toy treat that my birds love.....

     I take ice cube trays and fill them with all kinds of goodies.....fresh corn kernels, small carrot chunks,  a large plastic shiny bead or link and then freeze them.  I give these cubes to my birds on hot days to cool them off or just for fun.  It is funny to see them try and hold on to them.

 Use your imagination here...you can substitute some fresh juice instead of water or even use a length of plastic chain in the cube for fun.  Remember to go back and clean up an hour or so later so that you get any food that will spoil  picked up and watch out for sticky feet! This is a great way to keep your bird(s) cool, hydrated and happy!

Let your imagination run wild......it is amazing what your birds like if you only offer it to them!
